David is an expert in SMSF compliance, with extensive experience as an SMSF auditor over the last two decades.

With a deep understanding of SMSF compliance challenges, David works closely with accountants to resolve legislative breaches and help SMSFs maintain their complying status.

His expertise is widely recognised, as evidenced by various speaking engagements for the National Tax and Accountants’ Association (NTAA). Additionally, David represents the NTAA on the ATO’s SMSF Auditor Professional Stakeholders’ Group, contributing insights on the ATO’s education, support, and compliance strategies for Australia’s 4,000 ASIC registered auditors.

David is also a board member of the Auditors’ Institute where he focuses on advocating for all SMSF auditors.
