Today we announced that from the 3rd of February, Baumgartner Super will be leaving the Baumgartner Group and rebranding as Assurify. Please find below some frequently asked questions in relation to this announcement. If you have any questions, we encourage you to reach out to us.

Why are you leaving the Baumgartner Group?

We believe the SMSF audit business can better achieve its objectives by leaving the group. Operating separately will allow us to be nimbler with decisions being made solely in the best interests of our people and clients.

Why did you choose the name Assurify?

We wanted our new name to reference the services we provide, be different from others in our industry, and be simple and memorable. We believe Assurify meets these requirements perfectly and are sure it will be a name synonymous with SMSF audits long into the future.

Are you expanding your services beyond SMSF audits?

Assurify will only provide SMSF audits.

Are you moving from your current office?

We will be moving to a new office by 30 June this year and look forward to sharing details of our new home soon. As such, our mailing address continues to be PO Box 3230 Cotham, VIC, 3101 for the time being.

Will I still be dealing with the same people and can I expect the same quality of service?

All Baumgartner Super team members will remain with Assurify so there will be no change to your signing auditor or client manager. We are focussed on ensuring all clients receive the same level of service to which they are accustomed.

Will I still be submitting my funds for audit in the same way?

In the short term nothing will change. For those currently transferring documents to us via our portal, you will still be able to access it via our new website. However, we currently developing our own portal, so watch this space.

I have work in progress with Baumgartner Super; what's going to happen?

Any audits in progress with Baumgartner Super on the 3rd of February will still be finalised by us as normal. However, from that date, audit reports will be issued under the Assurify brand.

What do we need to change re annual return lodgement/annual minutes etc?

Wherever Baumgartner Super is referenced in your systems, you should update it to Assurify from the 3rd of February. You will need to update the phone number in the annual return after we communicate it to you when the new brand goes live.

We have trustees who have signed the audit engagement letter from Baumgartner Super - do they need to sign a new engagement letter with Assurify? The same applies to audit packages already sent for signing but not yet returned.

We will continue to accept signed engagements letters with Baumgartner Super branding beyond the 3rd of February. As the engagement of an auditor is an individual appointment and the terms and conditions have not changed, there is no reason for us to require a newly signed engagement letter.

Can we expect any changes to the pricing arrangements?

No, all pricing will remain as per your current agreement.

Will your website domain change?

Yes, we are excited for the launch of our new website on the 3rd of February.

Will your contact details change?

Our email addresses and telephone numbers will be changing from the 3rd of February, and we will communicate these to you on that date. If you use a Baumgartner Super email after the 3rd of February it will be re-directed to the corresponding Assurify email address, but we ask that you endeavour to only use the Assurify email addresses from the 3rd of February.

Who should I contact if I have further questions?

Please feel free to contact your client manager or one of David or Sajee if you have any further questions.

Will your bank details change for the payment of invoices?

Invoices dated from the 3rd of February will be on Assurify letterhead. However, there has been no change to our ABN or bank account details so you should continue to pay invoices to the same bank account.

How will I obtain my updated Assurify branded documents?

Assurify branded checklists and engagement letters will be provided to you from the 3rd of February.
