At Baumgartner Super, we are incredibly proud of our long-standing history and significant contributions to the SMSF audit industry. As we look ahead, we have some important changes to share with you.

Retirement of David Baumgartner

We begin with the announcement of the retirement of our founding partner, David Baumgartner, from Baumgartner Super and the SMSF audit industry.

David’s vision and leadership were pivotal in establishing us as one of the first independent SMSF audit firms. Under David's guidance, we have grown to serve over 280 accounting firms across Australia, a testament to his dedication and foresight. While David has gradually stepped back in recent years, his wisdom, warmth, and presence at the office and conferences will be deeply missed.

Exciting New Beginnings

As we move into this new chapter, we’ve made the decision to further strengthen our future by becoming fully independent. Effective 3rd February 2025, Baumgartner Super will officially operate under our new brand name: Assurify. This marks the beginning of an exciting new era as we evolve into a standalone business outside the Baumgartner Group.

What This Means for You

In the short term, while our name and brand will be changing, the way we deliver our service will not change. You can expect the same level of exceptional service you’ve come to trust. My fellow director, Sajee Madarasinghe, and I, along with our talented team, remain fully committed to delivering top-tier SMSF audit services.

However, with a focus on the future we are reimagining the way we deliver our services to you, with some significant initiatives in the works that we look forward to sharing with you later this year.
